UK Batch Tip:
Always check that all your rolls have the same Batch Number. Colours and textures can vary slightly between print runs, which becomes very obvious once on the wall.

Transform Your Space
Wallpaper can completely change the feel of a room, but it is one of the more difficult materials to calculate. Unlike paint, you can't just buy a 'half tin' if you run out—you must buy a whole roll, and it must match your existing batch.
Our wallpaper calculator uses the "Drop Method," which is the most accurate way to account for pattern repeats and waste.

Understanding Pattern Repeat
There are three main types of pattern match you'll find in the UK:
- 1
Free Match: No pattern to align. The easiest to hang and creates the least waste.
- 2
Straight Match: The pattern matches straight across from the previous drop. Moderate waste.
- 3
Offset Match: The pattern repeats diagonally. This creates the most waste as you may lose half a repeat on every drop.
Pro Tip: Lining Paper
If your walls are slightly uneven or have small cracks, always hang lining paper first. It provides a smooth, absorbent base for your decorative wallpaper and prevents the pattern from distorting over imperfections.

Ordering Disclaimer
We always recommend ordering 1 extra roll than the calculator suggests. If you make a mistake on a cut or damage a drop, you will have a spare roll from the same batch. Most UK retailers will allow you to return unopened rolls.
