How to Calculate 0.5% Stamp Duty

STEP 1

Total Purchase Value Calculate Karo

Purchase Value = Number of Shares × Price Per Share

1,000 shares × £2 per share = £2,000
STEP 2

0.5% Apply Karo

Stamp Duty = £2,000 × 0.5% (or 0.005)

£2,000 × 0.005 = £10
